Participants on this one day course will be encouraged to develop a range of practical communication skills and recognise the ways in which our states affect each other.
'Effective communication' we are convinced, has more to do with a particular 'quality of attention' than any words which may or may not be spoken.
We have designed the training event to be interactive throughout, engaging all the senses of participants from beginning to close. Individuals will be encouraged to recognise and celebrate their own skills in communication and to notice the ways in which we experience and respond to expressions of enthusiasm. We will stress the fundamental importance of 'pacing' the other in order to engage meaningfully and illustrate that once such engagement has been achieved, it will commonly prove possible to enable individuals to shift from a position of sometimes painful isolation.
We will make reference to the pioneering work of Phoebe Caldwell, some basic principles of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and situations that we have experienced in our own professional care and communication practice.
Come prepared for a fun, demanding and rewarding day!
By the end of the day participants will:
£375 for groups of up to 20 people.
We intend to run a number of open courses throughout the year at various locations across the U.K. If you would be interested in attending, please contact us.
