Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults

Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults

This comprehensive one day programme will provide participants with an understanding of legal requirements and best working practice.

This course will provide a definition of the term 'vulnerable adult' and explain the various types of abuse which people may be subjected to. There will be the opportunity to reflect on personal experience and to explore personal values and beliefs and how they were arrived at.

Through key texts, group exercises and reflection, we will identify causes for concern and develop an understanding of reporting procedures including some important do's and don't's.

The course will comprehensively meet the requirements of the National Common Induction Standards and current legal requirements for training in social care.

We have successfully delivered training to public and private care providers, voluntary organisations and people working in the community at venues throughout the UK.
