Personal Hygiene and Self Esteem

A one day course to promote self-esteem, awareness of personal hygiene and the desirability of looking after ourselves and the way we look, smell and feel.

 

We will promote a relaxed atmosphere in which to share information about important personal hygiene tasks and looking after yourself generally.

 

Through a range of lively group exercises and discussion participants will be encouraged to develop their sense of self-worth, assertiveness and confidence in presenting themselves.

 

Personal Hygiene and Self Esteem Aims

  • To raise awareness of the importance of personal hygiene in raising self esteem, enhancing quality of life, gaining broader acceptance and operating effectively as an adult member of society.

Personal Hygiene and Self Esteem Objectives

  • To encourage confident interaction between participants.
  • To identify a range of personal hygiene routines.
  • To recognise a range of personal hygiene products and services.
  • To understand the importance of exercise and healthy eating.
  • To enable individuals to become more deliberate, choiceful and assertive in presenting themselves socially and as prospective employees.

Who is it for?

  • People with learning disabilities.

In-house cost

  • £375 for groups of up to 20 people.
  • £300 for voluntary organisations.
