Introduction to Non-Verbal Aspects of Communication

Introduction to non-verbal aspects of communication

This one day course will deliver a relaxed, dynamic, informative and uplifting introduction to this fascinating and essential topic.

Words, it is often reported, constitute a mere 7% of what we communicate to each other. For too many of us the song and dance which make up the rest of our interaction, receives scant attention after we graduate from nursery and primary school.

Through key texts/handouts, group exercises and reflection, participants will be offered a broad theoretical model of non-verbal communication and the opportunity to reconnect with the playfulness which often characterises our more effective communication as children. We will begin to rediscover what it is to be "sound" and "balanced" and to unsquash our natural potential as communicators.

Effective communication, we are convinced, has more to do with a particular "quality of attention" than any words which may or may not be spoken.

Come prepared to have fun.
